Guest House Accommodations
This two-story log Colorado lodge, facing Needle Rock to the west, has two river rock fireplaces and a beautiful porch that wraps around its northern and western sides. The second floor of the house is made up of four guest bedrooms, each with private bath and its own unique character, all with handmade furnishings, antiques and beautiful views of the surrounding Colorado mountains.

Enter Guest House through the old timber door with hand wought iron hinges. On the left is an intimate sitting room with antique settle, writing table, and comfortable seating around a stone fireplace. To the right of the steps to the second floor is a living room with stone fireplace, a small kitchenette and an enclosed sun porch. West Elk Suite, with private bath and separate entrance is also located on the first floor.
The entire house may be reserved (10 persons minimum)
or individual guest rooms may be booked.
River House Accommodations
Tucked in among the Cottonwoods and Spruce along the bank above the Smith Fork River, this majestic log house has incredible views of the West Elk range of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, as well as one of the lower meadow ponds. Up the front porch steps, and past the stack of split fire logs, you enter through the hand-hewn Alderwood door. To the right is a room for boots, and dusters, river sandals, snowshoes and empty luggage. Every other room is furnished with Navajo rugs, American primitive antiques, original art and handmade furnishings from Western and Native American artisans.

Right outside your bedroom door is your own private Great Room, with its handsome river rock fireplace, hand-crafted furniture, antiques and comfortable seating. There is also an enclosed summer porch with daybed/settee and kitchenette. Wrapping around the river side of the house is a large deck with hot tub. There is nothing more special than sitting on the deck, with glorious mountain views, listening to the sound of the river, as it winds its way through the ranch.
(From June 20 - August 28, and December 20 – January 2, River House can be reserved in its entirety. Depending on the make up of the group or family, River House accommodates a minimum of 6 to a maximum of 10 guests. Ideal for a large family or 3 couples. During late Spring, Autumn and Winter the 3 suites can be booked individually.

With exposed, chinked log walls and artfully whitewashed vaulted ceiling, Spruce Cabin personifies the rustic elegance of our restored original Colorado cabins. A spacious sitting room with antler chandelier, gas/log stove, a bedroom with queen-sized bed, and a lovely bath with slate tiled shower comprise the interior of this cozy cabin. The front porch and south-facing deck have expansive views of the surrounding mountains. This is the perfect cabin for your romantic Colorado mountain getaway.

This lovely cabin has views of Saddle Mountain, and from its private back deck overlooks the meadow sloping down to the Smith Fork of the Gunnison River, and trophy trout ponds. Enjoy a striking view of Sleeping Indian Mountain from the front porch. The cozy sitting room has a vaulted log ceiling, antler chandelier and a gas/log stove. One bedroom has a king-size bed that can be converted to twins. A second bedroom has log bunk beds and a twin bed. Bath with shower.

Built of cedar logs, Oak Cabin is the oldest of three original guest cabins. Its interior is finished with rustic board and batten wainscoting. Its cozy sitting room has a vaulted ceiling, antler chandelier and a gas/log stove. It has two bedrooms; one with a queen-size bed, the other with a king that can be converted to two twins. The bathroom has a large, slate-tiled shower. An east-facing deck commands magnificent views up the Smith Fork Valley into the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. The front porch faces Sleeping Indian and Little Sand Mountain.
