Smith Fork Ranch operates as an upscale guest ranch during the summer with outdoor adventures such as horseback riding, fly fishing, hiking and archery in the surrounding wilderness and Gunnison national forest.  Located in the North Fork Valley midway between Aspen and Telluride in a little known treasure of natural splendor the ranch is known for its fine food, excellent service, extensive wine cellar and luxurious guest accommodations in the rustic style. 

While staying in the beautiful and secluded valley at Smith Fork Ranch during our bed and breakfast season, you may sit at the fireplace and relax, and enjoy one of the many local attractions:

  • Cross country skiing terrain, just a few miles from the ranch

  • Fishing, hiking, snow shoeing, and wildlife viewing directly on the ranch

  • Downhill skiing at the following locations:
    Powderhorn in Cedaredge, CO- 1 1/2 hour drive
    Aspen Mountain in Aspen, CO- 2 hour drive
    Telluride, CO- 2 1/2 hour drive
