Our sporting clay center is equipped with state-of-the-art traps including a wobble trap, which accurately replicates the unpredictability of live-quarry shooting. A challenge, to say the least. You’ll be using some of the finest gear available: lightweight Beretta 12 and 20 gauge shotguns. Even if you’re a newcomer to shooting, a Smith Fork Ranch staff member will have you trained in no time.

We've never shot shotguns before, how safe is your program?
Safety is our number one priority. All guides are trained in gun safety and each guest will go through a safety briefing before being allowed to handle the guns.
What type of guns are we shooting?
Our guns are 12 and 20 gauge Beretta shotguns.
I've got kids and I'm not sure they're ready for a shotgun...
We understand the concern, and will only allow kids that meet the age/weight requirement to handle shotguns if both the guardian as well as our staff see that it’s safe and comfortable for all parties. If not, we do have BB guns available for the kids! We will set up targets that will allow them to still take part in the activities and practice their aim.
What are the age and weight limit?
We do have a minimum weight limit of 80 lbs. This ensures that kids are able to comfortably and safely support the shotgun.
Where are your guns stored?
When not in use, our guns are safely stored and locked in a safe.
I've got my own shotgun- Can I bring it?
